Second Life’s Cutest Cat Breedable Ever!

Breedables

Disclaimer:

You are responsible for your Strays kitties and their welfare, just like Real Life :)

Unfortunately with SL/LL maintenance of sims/lands, this can sometimes be severe depending on what they need to fix, and you might have a disruption in the scripts of the cats and possibly food/milk bowls.

Please check your cats daily to make sure their text has not gone red or orange, which indicates that they are not eating.

If so, pick up and re-rez the cats AND the food/milk bowls, so that all can reconnect with our server and begin functioning again properly.

Stats, Symbols and Colors

Visible Hovertext on Live Cats

STATS - GREEN TEXT

Stats are green when first born, and will remain Green for 7 days

(5 days of maturity, 2 days to gain heat)

Until after their Love/Desire/Heat has reached 100%

Then it will turn to blue.

An additional ♥   line appears once heat has begun.

STATS - BLUE TEXT

Stats will turn a lightish blue when Love/Desire/Heat has reached 100%.

The cat is now ready to mate.

STATS - PINK TEXT

For females only - Stats turn pink when they are Pregnant.

There will be a 48 hour countdown at the bottom of their stats to show how much time is left.

(Note:  With random-drop LEs, their pregnancy time is only 2 hours!)

STATS - SOFT WHITE

For boys, after mating, they will go into a cooldown phase which lasts 24 hours.

There will be a 24 hr Countdown at the bottom of their stats to show the time left.

For girls, they will go into the same 24 cooldown After they have their baby.

STATS - GREEN TEXT

After cooldown, they start to gain heat again for the next baby :)

STATS - ORANGE TEXT

Text will turn orange if the cats run out of milk.

They need milk for happiness to mate and make more babies, so please check your bowls.

STATS - RED TEXT

Text will turn red if the cats run out of food.  They must have food to live.

Please check your bowls.

Note:  When you take live cats out of your inventory, they will show red text because they are hungry.

Let them eat food and milk for a few minutes and they will be back to normal :)

STATS - BLACK TEXT

Text will turn black ONLY if the cat is rezzed out in-world and runs out of food.  After 4.5 days with no food, the text of the cat will turn black indicating it is now sick.   (In inventory, they never become sick-Strays are always safe in there).

Once text is black, it is now sick, and will need a Health kit to heal it.

Grab that at our main shop and once purchased, it will go into your stray cats account on the server.

You apply the health kit via your Web Tools.

Note:  If you have had food and milk out, but the cat did not eat, that could be the result of SL sims maintenance or rollbacks.  Sometimes either the cats’ scripts or the food/milk bowls scripts have failed to re-establish.  It is best to check on your cats periodically to make sure all is well with them.

If you have to be away from SL for a while, please have a friend check on your cats.  Anyone can buy food or milk for your bowls for your cats.  And if some have turned red because they are not eating, or have no food, they should be returned to you/your inventory, to prevent them becoming sick.

When the stats go ORANGE or RED there is a problem

 Things to Check:

 1.  Out of Food or Milk?

 2.  Food & milk not in the cat’s range?

 3.  Check food/milk bowls (right-click, edit) and in the description

      line - are they V3 ?

(Older V2 no longer work, for over 4 years now.)

 4.  Are your cats the correct version?

      Current version is 1.44 (a or b).

 5.  Do you have too many cats per set of bowls?

10-12 is recommended max per bowl.

Only three (3) cats can eat together at the same time/same

bowl, so like real cats, the others have to wait their turn.

 6.  IF you have food, but do not have milk, their stats

will go orange.   They are fed, but not happy without milk.

Happiness is necessary when you wish to breed your cats.

However, if you do not wish to breed, it is not a necessity,

but you will have orange text.

If the hovertext color goes to red, then they have run out of food

or they are not eating for some reason.

Remember, no food consumption for 5 days in-world, and

their text goes BLACK as they are now sick.

They will now need a health kit to revive.

If you have food and/or milk, but they are not eating?

Always try this first:

1.  Reset your cats home position and then use TP home.

     (Using our HUD is easiest)

2.  Take bowls into inventory and re-rez them out.

A quick reconnection to the server will mostly likely get them

     going again :)

3.  Try picking up your cats, and setting out 3 at a time.

Let those eat, then drink, and when back to green, put out

     another 3.

Putting out all at once may overwhelm the scripts of the bowls.

Also by setting them out in little bunches, their feeding timings

will be a little offset, and that will be easier on your bowls too.

4.  It might be that you are having land issues (love SL sometimes).

Feel free to take your kitties to our Bast sim and rez them there

     temporarily to eat.

Perhaps doing a land restart will fix your issue.

We have noticed that sometimes scripts maybe be off on some regions.

If scripts cannot run, your cats will not be able to eat/drink or animate.
